Yoga Teacher Training with Jacqui Crown

 

  A 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training is now being offered at 3 Sisters Yoga & Healing Center.  The teacher training is being offered by Jacqui Crown. This program meets the requirements of Yoga Alliance at the 200 hour.  Upon completion of the program you will receive Certification of Completion of Yoga Teacher Training.  The program will run from September 2008 to June 2009.

 

Focus of Training:

Asana:  Beginner, intermediate and advanced postures.  Proper alignment, demonstration, languaging, observation and assisting.  Benefits and contraindications.

Yoga Therapeutics:  Working with injuries, limitations and special needs.  Alignment, modifications and use of yoga props.

Pranayama:  Breathing practices.

Meditation:  Dharana, Dhyana.

Mantra:  Chanting, Bhakti Yoga.

Philosophy:  Study of yoga philosophies; focus on The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.

Anatomy and Physiology:  Both physical and energetic anatomy and physiology.

Vinyasa:  Art of sequencing postures.

Restorative Yoga:  For use in classroom or private instruction.

Classroom Teaching and Assisting:  Methodology and practicum.

Basic Use of Sanskrit

Marketing, Teaching Yoga as a Business and Ethics for Yoga Teachers

The Training also includes:  10 Public Classes and 2 Private Sessions with Jacqui, as well as Teacher Training Manual.

 

Dates for Training:

All full weekends will run on Friday from 6:00 - 9:30pm, Saturday 9:00am - 12:00 noon and 1:00 to 4:00pm, and Sunday, 9:00am - 12:00noon and 1:00 - 3:30pm.  There are two special weekends during the training (dates and times listed below).

Tuition:  $2,975 if paid in full by August 20, $3,175 if paid thereafter.
